Samsung Intercept USB problems on Mac.?

I have been able to connect to USB Mass storage every time up until recently on my new Macbook pro. These last few times it just connects and starts charging but never brings up the option to start USB Mass Storage. I don't know how to get to this option if there is a way. My service provider provider for the phone is Sprint and I've never had problems till recently. Could this be because I canceled out the option to turn on the mass storage option so many times?
